About Our Westminster Service

Much of Westminster was built from the 1960s through the 1990s, so many sewer lines are reaching the age where roots, offsets and cracked pipe cause backups. We serve homes, HOAs and commercial properties in Downtown Westminster, Legacy Ridge, Standley Lake and Hyland Hills.

Much of Westminster was built from the 1960s through the 1990s. That puts a lot of sewer lines at the age where roots, offset joints and cracked pipe start causing backups. Go Direct Services provides sewer line repair in Westminster, plus full sewer line replacement and water line repair, for homes, HOAs and commercial properties. We are a family-owned Denver-metro contractor, and we put a camera in the line before anyone picks up a shovel.

Why are so many Westminster sewer lines backing up now?

Sewer pipe rarely fails all at once. A line laid in the 1960s, 1970s or 1980s has had decades to shift, crack and collect roots. Lines from the 1990s are younger, but the soil around them still moves.

Here is what we usually find when a line in that age range starts giving trouble:

  • Roots. Roots work their way into joints, keep growing and form a mat that catches paper and waste.
  • Offset joints. When soil settles, pipe sections shift out of line. The lip at the joint snags debris and slows flow.
  • Cracked pipe. Older clay and cast iron get brittle with age. A crack lets in roots and soil and can grow into a break.

The pipe material depends on when the home was built. Homes from the early part of that span often have clay or cast iron, while later homes are more likely to have plastic pipe. A camera tells us for sure.

What does sewer line repair in Westminster usually involve?

It depends on how much of the line is damaged. One bad joint and a long run of cracked pipe call for very different fixes.

Clearing the line

If you are backed up, we clear the line first. Drain cleaning is $280. Hydro jetting, for heavy roots or buildup, runs about $1,000. Clearing stops the backup, but it does not repair a cracked or offset pipe.

Spot repair

When one section is broken and the rest of the line is sound, we dig up and replace just that section. We often add a clean-out at the same time so future maintenance is easier.

Full replacement

When the camera shows roots, offsets and cracks along much of the run, full sewer line replacement is usually the better value. Otherwise, repairs tend to come one after another. See our sewer line repair and replacement services.

Do I have to dig up my yard to find the problem?

No. A sewer camera inspection is $99. We run the camera from the house to the main, record the whole line and show you the video.

You see what we see: where the roots are, how far a joint has shifted, and whether the pipe is cracked or sagging. Then we give you a free written estimate. If more than one fix is reasonable, we price each one so you can compare.

Whether you are in Legacy Ridge, Hyland Hills or near Standley Lake, that video is the starting point for our recommendation.

How much does sewer line repair in Westminster cost?

These are typical ranges from recent Go Direct jobs across the Denver metro. Each range covers the middle half of jobs, with the median shown where available.

Job Typical range Median
Spot repair $4,560–$6,500 $5,199
Interior or crawlspace sewer repair or replacement $4,400–$9,265 $7,025
Full exterior sewer line replacement $9,600–$17,750 $12,400
Pipe bursting Varies with length; recent jobs $9,600 to $22,500 —
Water line replacement $4,650–$10,500 $6,500

If the break is at the city main, street and alley tap work often runs into five figures due to street cuts, traffic control and permits. Your price depends on what the camera shows; every estimate is free and in writing. Our sewer line replacement cost guide explains what drives the numbers.

Can pipe bursting replace my Westminster sewer line without a trench?

Often, yes. Pipe bursting is a trenchless method. We dig a small pit at each end of the line. A bursting head breaks the old pipe apart, and new seamless pipe is pulled in behind it.

It works well for cracked or root-filled lines that run fairly straight, especially under driveways, patios and finished landscaping. A collapsed line or one with a deep sag may need to be dug instead, because bursting follows the old pipe’s path.

We do not do pipe lining. If bursting is not a good fit, we will say so and quote an open-trench replacement. Learn more about trenchless pipe bursting.

Who repairs sewer lines for Westminster HOAs and commercial properties?

We work with HOA boards, property managers and commercial owners as well as homeowners. The process is the same: camera video, a plain explanation and a written estimate you can share.

  • Shared lines. In some townhome and condo communities, several units drain into one shared line. Your governing documents usually say who is responsible for which section.
  • Video for the record. Camera footage helps a board or owner see the problem and approve the fix.
  • Commercial work. Along with sewer and water lines, we handle hydro jetting, exploratory leak excavation and commercial fire lines.

See how we work with property managers and HOAs.

Is my Westminster water line leaking?

A water bill that climbs with no change in use is often the first sign. Other clues are falling water pressure or a soggy spot in the yard that stays wet between storms.

Older water service lines are often galvanized steel or copper. Galvanized pipe rusts from the inside and slowly narrows, and copper can develop pinhole leaks. When a leak is hidden underground, we do exploratory leak excavation to find it.

If the line is worn out end to end, we quote full replacement so you can compare it with a one-time repair. More on water line repair and replacement.

What warranty and financing come with sewer line repair in Westminster?

Every warranty is in writing and transfers to a new owner if you sell:

  • Full replacement: 20 years
  • Trenchless pipe bursting: 10 years
  • Spot repairs: 3–5 years

Qualifying jobs can use our in-house plan: 0% for up to 12 months, with 20% down, no credit check and autopay. For larger jobs, Wisetack offers monthly payments, subject to credit approval. See our financing options or call 303-288-0039.

Westminster sewer line repair questions, answered

My home was built in the 1980s. Is my sewer line old enough to have problems?

It can be. Roots, offset joints and cracks show up in lines of that age. If you have repeat clogs or mature trees, a $99 camera inspection shows where your line stands.

Why did my drain back up again a few weeks after cleaning?

Cleaning clears roots and buildup, but it does not fix the joint or crack that let them in. Fast repeat clogs usually mean the pipe itself is damaged.

Our HOA has a shared sewer line. Can you scope it and quote the repair?

Yes. We camera the line, show the board the video and provide a free written estimate. Your governing documents determine who pays for which section.

Can you fix just one bad section?

Yes, when the rest of the line is sound. Spot repairs typically run $4,560–$6,500 on recent Go Direct jobs across the Denver metro and carry a 3–5-year warranty.

Do you do pipe lining?

No. We do pipe bursting and open-trench replacement. After the camera inspection, we will tell you which one fits your line.
